We bring to you a special two night performance of #WOKE, written by Dennis A. Williams, and directed by Jason A. Ellis. Set on a fictional college campus in Chicago, Il, we find a black college athlete shot and killed by local police which prompts a tense exchange between the student body, and school administration. This play dives deep into nuanced conversations about the meaning and significance of #blacklivesmatter from the perspective of those who consider themselves allies as well as black America.
