The 4th season, and seventh youth musical produced by Momentum Collective Inc. will start off strong with a dynamic showcase of talent in Lion King Jr. This immensely popular musical – directed by Jason Ellis, and choreographed by Rosslyn Burrs – opens November 12 at the Lee Center in Alexandria, VA. Audiences are encouraged to dress in traditional African attire and bring their enthusiasm while hearing renditions of popular songs like “Circle of Life”, “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” and “Hakuna Matata”, performed by 48 of Alexandria’s best youth talent. There will be over 15 choreographed dance numbers in the show so we won’t fault you if you feel the urge to bust a move.
The production is made possible through partnership with the City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities and is part sponsored by the Office of the Arts. Disney’s Lion King Jr is presented through special arrangement with music theatre international (MTI).
